Who are we?
Gerhard Breedt founded Gerhard Architect in 2006 on a single conviction: exceptional architecture should never cost the earth. Nearly two decades on, that still drives every project. We design buildings that are forward-thinking, quietly bold, and built to sit in harmony with the landscapes that hold them.

Where we work
Gerhard sits on the Design Review Committees for Zimbali, Westbrook Beach Club, and Palm Lakes, three of the most exclusive estates on the coast. Put simply: the architect who helps decide what may be built on these estates is the one designing your home.
From that vantage point, we work across the KZN North Coast and greater Durban, throughout South Africa, and on select international projects, with deep first-hand knowledge of the estates where the country's finest homes are being built.
